Mahindra has finally announced that the debut of the new-generation Scorpio in India will be on June 27, 2022. Earlier codenamed Z101, this highly anticipated SUV is built on a new body-on-frame platform. The official website for the upcoming 2022 Mahindra Scorpio-N is now live ahead of its launch.
Let’s take a look at some of its specifications.
Some of the new exterior highlights in the Scorpio N are chromed door handles, chromed window line, a prominent kink when viewed from the sides, sturdy roof rails, tweaked bonnet and boot lid with side-hinged door, updated rear bumper, and all-new vertical LED tail lamps.
The exterior also comprises vertically slated chrome front grille with the new Twin Peaks logo sitting in the middle, redesigned LED projector headlamps, revised front bumper with new fog lamp housings, C-shaped LED Daytime Running Lights, wider central air inlet with hexagonal lower grille inserts, and a set of newly designed two-tone wheels.
The interior also get new updates like a new dash and centre console, updated semi-digital instrumentation, flat-bottom steering wheel, roof-mounted speakers, leather seats, adjustable headrests, wireless charging pad, a centrally mounted touchscreen infotainment system, engine start/stop button, cruise control, sunroof, six airbags.

Mahindra will offer the Scorpio-N with the XUV700’s 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines. While a 6-speed MT will come as standard, there will be an optional 6-speed automatic transmission on offer as well. The carmaker will be providing both petrol and diesel versions of the SUV with a 4x4 option.
Its price range is expected to start from Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards.
