75th Republic Day: For a first at the Republic Day Parade, an all-women contingent and band from the Delhi police will be participating. The contingent will be led by Additional DCP/ North District IPS Shewta K Sugatha for a second consecutive year earning the title of the only second woman IPS officer after IPS Kiran Bedi to lead the distinguished event.
Indian celebration of the Republic Day commemorates the adoption of the Indian constitution on 26 January 1950. 12 women riders participated in the parade as members of the camel contingent of the Border Security Force (BSF).
