Ajay Devgn to play lead role in the Hindi remake of Telugu hit film, 'Naandhi'

In recent times the trend of roping in South Indian actors in Bollywood and vice versa is hiking up. From Samantha Akkineni in Family Man 2 to Shraddha Kapoor in Saaho, everyone is loving the unification of the industries. In the future also there are many upcoming films which will see similar star casts. Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt will be seen in SS Rajamouli's RRR. Meanwhile, Devgn has bagged another connection with the south. He will soon be seen in the Hindi remake of the superhit Telugu film ‘Naandhi’.

Let us tell you that the plot of the film revolves around the life of a man named Surya Prakash who was falsely accused of murder and is an under-trial prisoner. While he is waiting for the judgement, the film digs into the case and surrounding stories with an intriguing storyline. The original Telugu version of the film starred Allari Naresh and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and hit the floors this year in February.
