Amarnath Yatra 2022: For this year’s Amarnath Yatra it is mandatory for the devotees to have the Aadhar card to join the pilgrimage of Shri Amarnath, otherwise they may be deprived of the darshan of Baba Barfani. Therefore, it is necessary that those who do not have Aadhar card, get it made and then get it certified.

In this context, the Jammu and Kashmir administration has issued a notification on Monday. This year, 35 thousand workers will be registered in Baltal and Nunwan (Pahalgam) to provide various services to the pilgrims visiting the Yatra.

The pilgrims desirous of undertaking Amarnath Yatra shall furnish proof of possession of Aadhar or undergo Aadhar authentication on a voluntary basis: Jammu and Kashmir Government.

Not only this, Radio Frequency Identification Device (RFID) cards will be provided to those providing horse-mule service to the pilgrims. Let us inform you that the Amarnath Yatra will start from June 30 and will end on August 11, the day of Raksha Bandhan.

Health Advisory for Amarnath Yatra

Now less than 20 days are left for the commencement of Shri Amarnath Yatra. This time, many steps are being taken to make the journey smooth, including starting helicopter service from Srinagar itself, but most devotees are being advised to take care of their health. Devotees are being asked not to misunderstand only the health certificate for the Yatra as a guarantee card of their health. Doctors say that before coming on the journey, prepare your body to walk on these inaccessible paths.

Official Notification by the J&K Govt

In the notification of the state government, it has been said that Aadhaar authentication is necessary for the pilgrims coming on the Amarnath Yatra under Rule 5 of the Good Governance (Social Welfare, Innovation, Knowledge) Rules, 2000. Devotees will have to submit proof of their Aadhar card or they will have to voluntarily get their Aadhaar certified. The Shri Amarnath Shrine Board has also been asked to ensure compliance with the instructions issued by the Central Government regarding Aadhaar authentication.
