Who is R.S Sodhi?

RS Sodhi has been considered a big name in segments like dairy, fruits and vegetables. The reason for this is to give recognition to local brands like Amul all over India. In January this year, Sodhi resigned from the post of Managing Director of Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Foundation.

Sodhi joined the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Foundation about 20 years ago. Then his salary was only 1400 rupees. The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Foundation, under which the Amul brand comes, had an annual revenue of just Rs 121 crore in the year 1982. After joining Sodhi, the company continued to create new dimensions. After 40 years, in the year 2022-23, the total turnover of the company crossed 71000 crores. RS Sodhi's major contribution is considered in this achievement. Earlier in the financial year, the company's revenue was estimated at Rs 5500 crore.
