Animal Advance Booking: Ranbir Kapoor-Starrer Earns Rs 19 Cr Ahead of a 100-Cr Expected Blockbuster Opening

Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the movie has so far sold 7,45,992 tickets for 12,539 shows and earned Rs 19.7 crore. According to Sacnilk data, 5,75,197 tickets were sold for Hindi shows, while 1,63,361 were sold for Telugu shows. The advance bookings for the film have been driven primarily by Delhi (Rs 4.07 crore), Telangana (Rs 4.14 crore), Maharashtra (Rs 3.29 crore), Karnataka (Rs 2.23 crore), Gujarat (Rs 1.49 crore), Andhra Pradesh (Rs 2.18 crore), and Uttar Pradesh (Rs 1.34 crore), with the remaining states collecting less than Rs 1 crore each. The movie is set to release in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. ‘Animal’ is said to become one of the highest opening in the career of Ranbir Kapoor, surpassing Brahmastra’s Rs 36 Cr record.

According to Sacnilk, the film is expected to earn Rs 65 crore in India and Rs 30 crore overseas, for a total opening day gross of Rs 95-100 crore. According to various trade analysts, the film will attract the youth due to its intriguing storyline and emotional connection between a father-son relationship, and will possibly make it to one of the greatest openings of 2023, along with Pathan, and Tiger 3. On the other hand, the movie will be clashing with Vicky Kaushal starrer ‘Sam Bahadur’, which has earned a lukewarm response in comparison to Animal, with only Rs 1-2 Cr advance booking earnings. Talking about the BO predictions, the Meghna Gulzar-directed film is expected to earn around Rs 3-4 Cr on the opening day. Apart from Vicky Kaushal playing Sam Manekshaw, the biopic also stars Fatima Sana Sheikh, Sanya Malhotra, and others in lead.
