Article 370 Box Office Collections Day 3: Yami Gautam’s controversial film Article 370 is continuously climbing up at the box office with no stoppage. The film successfully completed its first weekend earnings with impressive numbers, taking its overall collection to over Rs 20 Cr in just 3 days. The movie starring Yami Gautam and Priyamani as leads, focuses on tackling the political turmoil in Jammu and Kashmir amidst the Indian government’s decision to completely eradicate Article 370 from the state, as Yami fights terrorism and corruption as an intelligence officer.
Article 370 was released in theatres on 23rd February, and minted Rs 6 Cr on its opening day. After a successful weekend, the movie has crossed the Rs 20 Cr mark and earned approximately Rs 23 crore in India since its release, as per Sacnilk.com. On Saturday, the movie saw good growth and earned Rs 7.4 crore. With great reviews on social media, the film saw a 25% increase in ticket sales on Sunday, earning a whopping Rs 9 Cr. The movie is receiving positive and strong reviews from fans as well as political leaders like Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, who stated that the movie is a “depiction of wrongdoings happening in the state.” Even PM Narendra Modi encouraged people to watch Article 370 during his J&K visit.

Yami Gautam’s movie is clashing with Vidyut Jammwal and Nora Fatehi starrer ‘Crakk’, the thriller action that also features Arjun Rampal as the antagonist. Released on 23 February, Crakk earned Rs 4.25 Cr on its opening day and recorded approx Rs 2 Cr each on Saturday and Sunday, taking its weekend earnings to Rs 4.55 Cr net, with a total collection of Rs 8.8 Cr in three days. On the other hand, Yami Gautam’s Article 370 collected two times the earnings of ‘Crakk’, and it would be interesting to see how much the movie will be collecting on Monday. Article 370 is directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale and produced by Aditya Dhar and Jio Studios. The film also stars Arun Govil and Kiran Karmarkar in pivotal roles.
