The Article 15 of the Indian constitution prohibits any discrimination on the basis of religion, caste, race, sex or the place of birth. But in reality, the picture is quite different. The film depicted the real life Badaun gang rape case of 2014.

Article 16 provides equal opportunities to education and employment in offices under the control of the State.
