Article 370

Helmed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale, the film stars Yami Gautam and Priyamani in pivotal roles. The film is based on the now revoked Article 370 of the Indian constitution that rendered special autonomous status to the region of Jammu and Kashmir. The makers claimed it to be the revealing story of behind the scenes of the time when the Indian government abrogated Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.

Article 15 

Anubhav Sinha's directorial features Ayushman Khurrana in the lead role of IPS officer Ayan Ranjan who witnesses the ground reality of caste discrimination in rural India despite the dismissal of caste-based discrimination in India constitutionally. 

The Article 15 of the Indian constitution prohibits any discrimination on the basis of religion, caste, race, sex or the place of birth. But in reality, the picture is quite different. The film depicted the real life Badaun gang rape case of 2014.

Article 375 

Inspired from the Shiney Ahuja rape case controversy, the film directed by Ajay Bhal starrs Akshaye Khanna, Richa Chadha, Meera Chopra, and Rahul Bhat in significant role. Based on the Article 375 of the Indian Penal Code that deals with the offense of rape, the film brought a new side of the offense in sight. It portrayed the misuse of the article at the hand of a woman who accuses a film director of having sexually assaulted her leading to his trial and imprisonment.

Shubh Mangal Zyada Savdhaan 

Made in the wake of decriminalizing Section 377 of the constitution the movie brings to focus the legal rights provided to same sex couple in India after the abolition of Section 377 that deemed sexual relationship between same sex couple as “unnatural” and “punishable” creating a taboo around it in the Indian society.

Aarakshan 

Based on the Article 16 of the Indian constitution, the film revolves around the constitutional reservation provided to the marginalized or backwards strata of the society. Article 16 provides equal opportunities to education and employment in offices under the control of the State. The film was directed by Prakash Jha with a cast ensemble of  Amitabh Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, Tanvi Azmi, Pratiek Babbar, and Manoj Bajpayee.
