Assam News: State Govt Takes Action Against Illegal Bangladeshi Migrants, Sent to ‘No Man’s Land’

Assam News: Action is being taken against illegal Bangladeshis in Assam. Himanta Biswa Sarma’s government has accelerated the process of identifying and returning people who have been labelled as unlawful immigrants by foreign judges. The Assam government is relocating these people to the Indian-Bangladesh border area.  So far, 49 such individuals have been dumped.

49 Illegal Bangladeshi Sent to No Man’s Land

On May 27 and 29, at least 49 proclaimed foreign nationals were deported from western and southern Assam. At least three petitioners have filed separate petitions with the Supreme Court and the Gauhati High Court, seeking to locate their family members and halt the continuing operation.
