Asur 2 Reviews: The second season is a follow-up to the first, which followed a young man going by the name of Kali, the destroyer of Kalyug, on a mission to wipe out humanity. The series stars Arshad Warsi, Barun Sobti, Ridhi Dogra, and Aupriya Goenka in significant roles. The self-proclaimed Asur commits terrible serial killings in the legendary crime drama series. To prevent a big cataclysmic calamity, the CBI and forensic specialists are currently working to catch the criminal.

Asur 2 Reviews

The second season of Asur starts with Arshad Warsi as Dhananjay ‘DJ’ Rajpoot seeking refuge in a monastery after losing his wife and friend, investigating officer Lolark Dubey (Sharib Hashmi), to the killer. However, after losing their daughter, Nikhil Nair (Sobti) and his wife Naina (Goenka) attempt suicide.

Asur season 2 instantly picks up where it left off in the first season, which took some time to gain popularity among viewers due to the introduction of the important cast and the show’s plot. The writers Niren Bhatt, Abhijeet Khuman, and Pranay Patwardhan, together with creator Gaurav Shukla, make an effort to maintain the flow of the first season without complicating the plot.

With season 2, Barun Sobti undergoes a transformation both psychologically and physically. On the other hand, Arshad Warsi keeps it straightforward, not trying so much hard to be a cop, which makes it work better. Both Riddhi Dogra and Anupriya Goenka have concrete parts to play and one that is very much consequential to the story. Finally, Meiyang Chang is in a role that has nothing to do with his ethnicity, colour, or, looks and the actor makes sure he proves himself.

Asur 3 Expectations

In the meantime, this season successfully clarifies all the issues brought up in the previous season, including Asur’s true identity, his motivation, and how and where it all started. Not only this, the second season’s climax feels unsatisfying and unfinished until you see a significant and intriguing cliffhanger that anticipates the return of Asur with yet another season.
