Austria-India Ties: PM Modi’s Visit To Vienna Is A First In 40 Years

PM Modi Austria Visit:  Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Vienna, Austria on 10 July 2024, marking his and the Indian PM’s first visit to the country in forty years. He received a ceremonial welcome at the Federal Chancellery of Austria celebrating the 75 years of India-Austria relations.     

PM Modi met Austria’s Chancellor and President 

He received the guard of honor in the presence of Chancellor Nehammer, and President Van der Bellen. The PM also shared a selfie with the Chancellor on his social media handle and a video of his 2-day visit to Austria, penning “May the India-Austria friendship scale new heights of progress.” PM Modi went to Austria after his 2-day formal visit to Russia.
