India’s biggest Automobile exposition is cuurently going on in Noida Uttar Pradesh and people are getting to witness a plethora of new concept cars and launch of new upcoming models. Every participating brand has at least one electric vehicle, either in concept or production form, making electric mobility the clear focal point of this Auto Expo.

The recently unveiled electric vehicles (EVs) from manufacturers like Tata, Hyundai, and Maruti Suzuki among many others served as the event's main draws for this edition of the Auto Expo. Let’s take a look at some of the top electric vehicles that are showcased at the Auto Expo 2023

Top EV’s launched at the Auto Expo 2023 event

Kia EV9

For the Indian market, Kia India has unveiled the EV9. Regarding the interior, the EV9 features a dashboard with only two layers and a huge 27-inch single-panel screen.

BYD Seal EV

The "BYD Seal," a high-end sedan with a 700-kilometer range on a single charge, was unveiled by Chinese electric vehicle maker BYD. The company wants to launch the model in India by the fourth quarter of 2023. 61.1kWh and 82.5kWh battery options are available for the Seal. On the Chinese light-vehicle test cycle, the Seal has a range of up to 700km with the latter. The EV vehicle is anticipated to cost roughly Rs 70 lakh and reservations will start in September 2023.

MG4 EV

At the occasion, MG displayed its high-end electric hatchback, the MG4 EV. In other countries, the MG4 is offered with 51kWh and 64kWh battery packs. The first generates 170 horsepower, and the second 203 horsepower. The smaller battery pack, according to MG, has a range of up to 350 km, while the larger one, according to the WLTP cycle, has a range of 452 km.

Tata Harrier EV

Tata Motors showcased the brand-new Harrier EV concept at the 2023 Auto Expo. Even though it is still constructed on an ICE chassis, the Harrier EV has undergone substantial reengineering for electric propulsion. The participants saw the vehicle's design for the first time, while the details are still a secret. Speaking of which, the Harrier EV maintains the majority of the ICE variant's design cues, but has undergone a number of alterations to give it a more contemporary appearance. For instance, the front grille has been totally covered, although the LEDs have only undergone minor changes. The EV's rear end has a new, edgy look that includes a sizable light bar connecting the LED tail lamps and a resurfaced bumper.

Maruti Suzuki eVX

The 2023 Auto Expo opened with a display of the Maruti eVX Concept. The company claims that by doing this, it has enhanced its dedication to creating cutting-edge, eco-friendly engine technologies. The automobile is believed to have a 60kWh battery pack that is aided by a "safe battery technology," as the car manufacturer describes it, and it has a futuristic yet minimalist design language. On a full charge, the eVX is said to have a range of up to 550km.

Hyundai Ioniq 6

The widely anticipated Ioniq 5 is finally available in India, and it has a seductive starting price of Rs. 44.95 lakh. The car is available with a single motor or a dual motor drivetrain, and as a result, the claimed ranges are 547 km and 500 km, respectively.
