Bad Newz Day 1 Advance Collection 

Dharma Movies announced the opening of Advance booking earlier this week with a quirky video of the leads from the movie with a caption saying, “THE WAIT IS OVER! No ‘compro' when it comes to watching the first day, first show - advance bookings are now open!”

The movie has sold over 38,000 tickets for the opening day with around 5779 shows booked all over India. 

‘Bad Newz’ is eyeing over a crore of gross collection on day one with an all-India collection of Rs, 1.08 crore as of now per Sacnilk.  

Censor board chops 29 seconds of Bad Newz 

‘Bad Newz’ is supposedly full of adult jokes, and sensual intimate scenes. During its censor board examination, the movie had to let go of 29 seconds of passionate kisses between the lead characters. In total three kissing scenes have been censored by chopping 9, 10, and 8 seconds respectively, resulting in 27 seconds removed.

‘Bad Newz’ is a sequel to ‘Good Newwz’ featuring Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor. The prequel was a box office success with a gross collection of Rs. 316 crores. Marking the theater debut directorial of Anand Tiwari, ‘Bad Newz’ is the first collaboration between Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk. Inspired by real-life events, the movie is about ‘heteropaternal superfecundation’, a rare medical case of a mother being pregnant with twin children of different biological fathers. The movie is produced by Amazon Prime Video, Dharma Productions, and Leo Media Collective.
