Best Foods for Eyes: Today, the world is going digital, and with this, has increased the screen time of almost every person. And with this work-from-home culture owing to the Corona- Virus pandemic, working on laptops, PCs, Mobile Phones has become a new normal. Even the students have to study through online mode and have to give their assignments and tests virtually. Moreover, during the nation-wide lockdown, people opted technological devices such as Mobile-Phones, video games, Online streamings, Over the Top (OTT) platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime and many more for their entertainment and recreational activities. And all this is resulting in many health-related issues. Ever since the lockdown has been lifted, children are not much willing to leave the house and are engaged in these technologies a lot. While these technologies are constantly harming the human body in various ways, the foremost of these being the weakening of eyesight. The increased screen-time causes our eyes to strain and considerably lower the eyesight of a person over time along with headache and other issues. 

So, in this article, we will read about some of the food products which help improve the eyesight of a person. 

 

If the person is not in taking a proper diet, the vision of the person can be affected significantly. However, vegetables such as carrot work as a good cure. Carrot contains an abundant amount of beta-keratin which works really well to improve the sense of vision. Other than this, citrus fruits contain vitamin B12 along with beta-keratin which helps in improving eyesight.  

 

The next food product which improves the vision is Indian Gooseberry (also known as Amla). Amla or Indian Gooseberry consists of Vitamin A, Vitamin C and some antioxidants which are utmost advantageous for healthy eyes. While this fruit can be eaten raw or in the form of a pickle to make it delicious.

 

Broccoli is one of the vegetables which has a significant amount of Vitamin A and necessary antioxidants which improves the eyesight. While having broccoli, it must be noted that having broccoli with much species would not be much effective. The best way to have broccoli is to eat it after boiling it once. 

 

One of the best sources to improve eye vision is including dry fruits in the diet. Dry Fruits such as groundnut, walnut, raisins, pistachios, almonds and cashew nuts must be a part of your diet as these fruits are a great source of Vitamin A which improves the vision of eyes.

 

However, while including these food products into your diet, remember not to spend much time over your phones and laptops and give proper rest to your eyes to witness the best results.
