Samarth Jurel was born in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India on Monday, April 30, 2001. While not much is known about his mother, his father's name is Mahendra Singh Jurel and he has a brother. Samarth attended Indore’s Emerald Heights International School. He used to play cricket for his school team, but he eventually discovered his interest in acting and sought a career in the entertainment sector.

After lying to his father about his cricket training, he moved to Mumbai in 2018 to seek a career in acting and modelling. He practiced his acting skills by reading acting manuals and watching videos. He also studied acting at the Mumbai Film School and the Indore Acting Institute. He appeared in a number of fashion shows for various brands. He also performed in the theatre to brush up his acting skills.
He started getting small roles in a variety of TV shows and web series. In 2020, he co-starred in the music video ‘Parinda’ with Anjali Arora.
