Bihar Weather: 21 People Died Due To Severe Rain and Lightning, Nitish Kumar Announced Compensation

Bihar Weather:  Sudden weather disruptions have claimed the lives of 21 people in Bihar with women and children included. Severe rain, lightning, and a storm struck the state on 9 April across several districts causing destruction, falling of trees, and casualties. 

The highest casualties were in Begusarai and Dharbhanga with 5 each. An additional 11 people have been injured and admitted to the hospital for treatment.   

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has expressed his condolences and announced a compensatory grant of Rs. 4 lakh for the families of the deceased. 

The India Meteorological Department has issued alerts for 32 districts in Bihar with 8 orange alerts and 24 yellow alerts.
