According to the Economic Times report, Ramesh Chauhan, chairman of Bisleri said, 'Jayanti will run the company with our professional team and we do not want to sell the business.'
Jayanthi Chauhan, 42, is the vice-chairperson of a company started by her father. People with knowledge of the matter said that she will work with a professional management team headed by Chief Executive Angelo George.
The 82-year-old Chouhan had earlier agreed to sell the brand to the Tata Group for an estimated Rs 7,000 crore. Last week, Tata Consumer Products Limited (TCPL) informed that the talks for the acquisition of Bisleri International have been 'closed'.
Putting an end to the ongoing speculation about the possible acquisition, TCPL told the stock market that it has not entered into any agreement regarding the acquisition of Bisleri.TCPL said, “In this regard, the company wants to inform that it has stopped the talks with Bisleri and the company has not entered into any agreement in this regard.”
