Starkid’s OTT Debuts:  Gone are the days when the actors had to wait for a big name to sign them for their stellar silver screen debuts that will act as their launching pad into the Bollywood film industry. With the popularity of digital streaming services, an actor worthy of merit and talent find their audience and deserve due recognition on OTT as well. The same has been true for some of Bollywood’s star kids who did not wait for a theatrical release to dive into the world of acting. Here is a list of Bollywood star kids’ OTT debuts and their digital streaming platforms. 

Nadaaniyan on Netflix 

Starring Khushi Kapoor, Sridevi’s younger daughter, and Ibrahim Ali Khan, Saif Ali Khan’s younger son, Nadaaniyan is a Dharmatic Entertainment film with the debutant director Shauna Gautam. The film is about an elite girl hiring a middle-class boy in school to be her fake boyfriend. The film was criticized heavily by the audience with a generally critical reception. 

The film marked the debut of Ibrahim Ali Khan who failed to impress the audience. 

The Archies on Netflix 

Zoya Akhthar's directorial teen musician comedy film promised nostalgia and it delivered. The film had a cast ensemble of star kids including Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan, Sridevi’s younger daughter, Khushi Kapoor, and Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda, all making their debut. Among the other talented debutants were Vedang Raina, Aditi Segal, and Yuvraj Menda. The film received a mixed bag of reviews. 

Maharaj on Netflix  

Junaid Khan, the elder son of Aamir Khan made his debut in Bollywood with the OTT film Maharaj on Netflix. He played the biopic role of Karsandas Mujli, a young journalist who questioned the religious beliefs of people in a con man exploiting women under the name of God and religion. The film was based on a real-life historical court case.
