Bollywood stars whose production houses shut down before going big

Bollywood actors often want to turn producers, and most of them produce their own movies. As a producer, stars can make the projects they always wished for and also promote new talent. They make small-budgeted films which earn a lot at the box-office, giving them more money to finance their other projects. 

But many of them were not as successful in producing as others. Let’s check out the list of some of the Bollywood actors whose production houses were shut before going big:

Amitabh Bachchan

One of the legendary actors, Amitabh Bachchan launched his production company in the 90s with a few big projects, but with the new millennium, the company went bankrupt and was later shut down.

Suneil Shetty

Actor Suniel Shetty launched his production house Popcorn Entertainment Ltd. in the early 2000s and produced a few films. But, was soon shut down because of the failure.

Ameesha Patel

The beautiful actress of the 2000 era also opened her production house by the name of Ameesha Patel Productions, with a grand opening party in 2011 but the company was shut down as none of the projects met any end.

Rajpal Yadav

Rajpal Yadav launched his production house Shree Naurang Godavari Entertainment Ltd. which produced his film Ata Pata Lapata that failed to impress the audience at the box-office and the company was shut down.

Manisha Koirala

The actress produced Paisa Vasool under her banner Manisha Koirala Moving Images, starring her and Sushmita Sen. The film was a flop and later, the company was shut down.

SRK-Juhi Chawla

The duo launched a production house named Dreamz Unlimited which produced a couple of films which flopped at the box -office. It was shut down and, later on, SRK revamped it as Red Chillies Entertainment Ltd.
