LSD 2: Dibaker Banerjee's directorial ‘Love, Sex, Aur Dhoka 2’ will be released in theaters on April 19. Ahead of the movie's release, the makers of the movie unveiled the transgender woman lead of the movie, Bonita Purohit essaying the role of Kullu.

The impactful teaser sure raised some eyebrows for bringing the one-of-a-kind story to the big screen. The teaser piqued curiosity surrounding the main lead of the movie too. The makers of the film have finally revealed who is the main lead essaying the role of the main lead in LSD 2.

Who is Bonita Purohit?
Balaji Motion Pictures has shared a video on their account giving a glimpse behind the scenes of the making of the movie along with a window into the roots and journey of Bonita.
Bonita hails from a small village in Rajasthan and has moved to Mumbai to earn a living and realize her dreams.
The video shares some early snapshots of Bonita with her family while the voiceover reveals the life story of Bonita. She shares that she found herself represented in the films, which made her feel seen and represented further fostering her self-acceptance. Films taught her that “her story matters' '. She was earlier a part of a production company earning ten to fifteen thousand per month to sustain herself in a city like Mumbai.
She further continues to share her motivation to act. She elaborated on the importance of watching trans representation on screen and finding “women like her” in films.
Her breakthrough in Bollywood is also a watershed moment in the industry where straight actors have heavily shouldered trans representation.
Bonita on her challenges and ‘dream come true’
The selection for the role of Kullu has been a dream come true for Bonita who never thought she would ever get a role in a movie. The win comes with its challenges too, as portraying a character whose issues, problems and struggles resonantly so close to home for her made it challenging for her. In the skin of Kullu, she was relieving her head of her real-life insecurities.

Joining Bonita in the cast would be 8 new faces per the media reports. The movie also stars Nimrit Alluhwalia, and Uorfi Javed, making her Bollywood debut. the teaser also features Mouni Roy and Tusshar Kapoor.
