Budget 2024: This Year’s Budget is More Beneficial For Farmers and Agri Sector, Know What to Expect

Budget 2024: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the full Budget 2024-25 next week, on Tuesday, July 23. This will be the first Budget of the Modi 3.0 government and her seventh budget session. The Budget is expected to push initiatives for various sectors of the economy in accordance with the Viksit Bharat 2047 Vision. This time, one of the major focuses of the government is the agricultural sector. Along with this, there can be tax-related announcements as well. 

Agriculture Sector in Budget 2024

The government can start the digital agriculture mission and the farmer’s credit card loan can be increased from Rs 3 lakhs to Rs 5 lakhs. For the unaware, farmers get a loan of up to Rs 3 lakhs on the farmer’s credit card from 7% interest. Under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, by increasing the profit by Rs 12,000 annually, women below the poverty line can get a loan of up to Rs 1 lakh.
