Budget 2025: Union Budget 2025 Update: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman offered a picture of various far-reaching policy issues in the agriculture budget for India’s development. Several measures have been announced to boost agricultural development and productivity. Increasing the maximum loan amount available through the Kisan Credit Card (KCC) from three lakhs to five lakhs is a groundbreaking step in the agriculture sector. This will provide short-term loans to around 7.7 crore farmers, fishers, and livestock farmers.

The government’s initiatives have benefited not only the country’s agriculture but also the farmers’ economic situation. Schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi and Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana have resulted in changes to traditional farming methods.
