iPhone Production In India: China has suffered yet another major setback, this time from Apple, the maker of the iPhone. Apple is looking to India to supply batteries for its next-generation iPhone. According to a report, Apple wants to manufacture iPhone 16 batteries in India to reduce reliance on China. Apple wants to make batteries for its latest iPhones in India as part of its efforts to diversify its global supply chain and shift manufacturing away from China.

Battery Manufacturing Setup in India

Desai, a Chinese company, has been asked to set up a battery manufacturing factory in India. Simplo Technologies, a Taiwanese battery supplier, has been asked to increase production in India for future orders. If the iPhone 16 battery supply diversification goes well, Apple may consider shifting the battery production of other iPhones to India. Due to rising trade tensions between China and the United States, Apple has made the significant decision to develop a strategy to diversify its operations. Apple already has an assembly and manufacturing facility in India.
