Business News: Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) are investment funds or entities registered in a country other than the one in which they are investing. FIIs are crucial in global finance as they can significantly impact the markets they invest in, bringing both opportunities and risks. The FIIs have withdrawn their funds from 5 sectors by June 15, and in the initial 6 months of the year 2024, the FIIs have withdrawn more than Rs 1 lakh crore from the market. Watch the video to know more about these sectors.
Around Rs 5,438 Cr have been withdrawn from the finance sector, Rs 13,958 Cr have been withdrawn from the oil and gas sector, Rs 12,911 Cr withdrawn from the FMCG shares, and Rs 13,213 Cr of IT shares have been sold. Apart from this, the shares of the construction sector of around Rs 9,047 Cr have been sold. Experts believe that the high valuation of shares in the Indian share market has become a major reason for the FIIs to withdraw money.
