Business News: One of the most well-known business groups in the country, the Godrej Group, is dividing its listed and non-listed companies. According to media reports, the Godrej family has also got permission to implement this decision. The Godrej Group was established before independence, in 1897 by Ardeshir Godrej and his brother, Pirojsha Burjorji Godrej. After that, the group was managed by the children of Piroj Shah, Sohrab, Doza, Burzor, and Nawal.
After the children of Piroj Shah, the responsibility of this group was taken by Burzor’s sons, Adi, and Nadir Godrej, the children of Nawal, Jamshed, and Smita Godrej, and the son of Doza, Rishad, who are still handling the responsibility of the group. In the division of the group, the responsibility of listed companies in the share market is given to Adi and his brother Nadir Godrej. Whereas, Jamshed and his sister Smita have the responsibility of non-listed companies.
