According to the latest numbers, 24-karat gold has increased by Rs 341, reaching Rs 86,089 per 10 grams, while silver has increased by Rs 1,945, reaching Rs 97,494 per kilogram. This represents a significant increase from December 31, 2024, when gold was at Rs 75,740 and silver was at Rs 86,017 per kilogram.
Notably, silver is currently surpassing gold in terms of price increase. The current rates for purchasing gold of various purity levels are as follows: 23-karat gold is priced at Rs 85,744, 22-karat at Rs 78,858, 18-karat at Rs 64,567, 15-karat at Rs 56,362, and 14-karat at Rs 55,000 per 10 grams. These prices are based on the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association's (IBGA) rates, which exclude GST.
