Latest Business News: HDFC Bank has released a shareholding pattern for the April-June quarter, in which compared to the previous quarter, this quarter, the holding of FIIs has seen a decline. In the April-June quarter, the holding of foreign portfolio investors decreased from 55.54% to 54.83%, leading to an increase in the weightage of the foreign investment in the emerging market fund of Morgan Stanley Capital International Index (MSCI).
In the emerging market index of MSCI, India’s weightage is 19.2%, and soon an announcement of increasing or decreasing the weightage will be announced on 13th August. In this case, if the holding of FIIs falls in the HDFC Bank in June, then the HDFC Bank will comply with the norms of MSCI, with the investment of about Rs 34,000 Cr coming from the MSCI fund. According to Nuvama Institutional Equities, the weightage of the HDFC Bank in the MSCI emerging market index can be increased from 7.2% to 7.5%.
