Business News: Reliance Industries, the country's most valuable firm, has asked shareholders to approve Mukesh Ambani as chairman and CEO for the next five years, or till 2029. Mukesh Ambani will not be paid by the company during this time.
According to Reliance's unique proposal, Mukesh Ambani would be 70 years old on April 19, 2027. Under his guidance, the company has expanded dramatically. It is in the best interests of the company if he continues to lead it. As a result, it is requested that his contract be extended for another 5 years.
Mukesh Ambani has served on Reliance's board of directors since 1977 and was appointed chairman in 2002 following the death of his father, Dhirubhai Ambani. He has held this position constantly since then. During his tenure, the company's market capitalization, profitability, and earnings have all increased significantly.
