Cannes 2025: Janhvi Kapoor debuted at the Cannes Film Festival in a custom Tarun Tahiliani ensemble for her film ‘Homebound’ set to screen in the Un Certain Regard category. Kapoor was joined by her cast members, including Ishaan Khatter, Vishal Jethwa (both debutants), director Neeraj Ghaywan, and producer Karan Johar.

For her Cannes debut, Janhvi Kapoor carried the craftsmanship of Indian weaves and weaver in her Benarasi silk tissue ensemble featuring a structured corset, a voluminous A-line skirt with a trail behind her completed with a dupatta draped around her from her waist to her shoulder, sitting on her bun and ending on her hands adding the ghooghant aesthetic to the look.

The regal couture from Tahiliaini is a bespoke piece with hand-crafted crushed texture to the corset top that has been left uncut on the hem to keep its authenticity intact.
Paired with a skirt and dupatta styled on the head, it alludes to the traditional Indian lehengas and saree blended to achieve a harmonious look by the stylist Rhea Kapoor, who is Janhvi’s cousin and celebrity stylist.

She adorned the blush pink parade with pearls and diamonds from the shelves of Chopard. Layered pearl necklaces added a royalness to the couture, and a diamond necklace and diamond-encrusted earrings looked fabulous over them.
