Corona Update: 7,171 new cases of corona in 24 hours, 40 deaths, figure of active patients crossed 51,000

Over the past day, there have been 7,171 fresh cases of COVID-19 recorded in the country, bringing the total number of active cases to 51,314. The Union Health Ministry reported a recovery rate of 98.70% in the last 24 hours. There is some relief to be had in the fact that the number of new cases has slightly decreased from yesterday's count of 7,533.

The Ministry of Health has reported that a vast number of 443,566,693 individuals who were previously infected with COVID-19 have now recovered. Unfortunately, the death toll has risen to 531,508, with an additional 40 fatalities. In Kerala, 15 patients passed away according to the latest update at 8 AM. The total number of COVID-19 cases on record has reached 449 million.
