Coronavirus News: Covid-19 cases have risen again in the country. The new Covid versions NB.1.8.1 and LF.7 have once again raised concerns among citizens and the government. Meanwhile, the first death from Covid-19 has been recorded in Karnataka’s capital, Bengaluru. According to an official statement from the Karnataka Health Department, the patient died on Saturday. In the last 24 hours, 108 people were tested for Covid, and five of them were found infected. One individual has been discharged from the hospital, bringing the total number of active cases to 38.
On Saturday, an infected individual died in Thane, Maharashtra. On May 22, the deceased was brought to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital in Kalwa for treatment and was later diagnosed with Covid-19. Apart from this, two Covid-19 cases have been reported in Rishikesh. Dr. R Rajesh, the State Health Secretary, stated that there is no reason to panic as both patients were infected in different states.
