World Ozone Day or the International Day for the preservation of the Ozone Layer is observed on the 16th of September. he theme announced by the UN Environment Programme for International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer 2022 is ‘Global Cooperation Protecting Life on Earth’. The day aims to raise awareness of the Ozone layer's significance and necessity as the planet's sole line of defence against UV rays from the sun.

India’s first lithium cell manufacturing plant to be launched in Andhra Pradesh

The Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology, Rajeev Chandrasekhar will launch the pre-production run of India’s first lithium cell manufacturing facility at Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. Munoth Industries Limited, situated in Chennai, invested Rs 165 crores to build this cutting-edge facility. The building is situated in one of the two Electronics Manufacturing Clusters that Prime Minister Narendra Modi established in the temple town in 2015.
