Gukesh D has become India's number 1 chess player

Grandmaster Gukesh D, 17, has surpassed Grandmaster Viswanathan Anand to become India's number one chess player. Gukesh has surpassed Anand in the Classic Chess live ratings. Gukesh is also the third Indian, behind Anand and Pantala Harikrishna, to break into the world's top ten. Viswanathan Anand has dropped fallen twice in the live world rankings since 1986.
