Reserve Bank of India has canceled the license of United India Co-operative Bank

United India Co-operative Bank, a bank in Uttar Pradesh, has had its licence revoked by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). According to the RBI, this bank failed to comply with the relevant portions of the Banking Regulation Act of 1949. Under depositor rules, customers can withdraw up to Rs 5,00,000 from the Deposit and Credit Guarantee Corporation (DIGCS).  

Rakesh Pal has been appointed as the 25th Director General of the Indian Coast Guard

Rakesh Pal, an alumnus of the Indian Naval Academy, has been named the 25th Director General of the Indian Coast Guard by the Ministry of Defence.  Rakesh became a member of the Indian Coast Guard in January 1989. Significantly, Rakesh was assigned the additional job of Director General of the Indian Coast Guard in February 2023. The Indian Coast Guard was founded on February 1, 1977.
