BVR Subrahmanyam is Named New CEO by NITI Aayog

BVR Subrahmanyam was selected as the new CEO of NITI Ayog on February 20, 2023 (Monday). Parmeswaran Iyer, the previous leader, is currently leaving the position and moving to the World Bank. For around two years in a row, Iyer was the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the NITI Ayog Institute. He did, however, only lately announce that he was leaving this job. Moreover, the government selected BVR Subrahmanyam to serve as the government's nodal agency's new CEO.

Vignesh NR becomes the 80th chess grandmaster of India

Vignesh NR, a 24-year-old chess player from India, defeated Ilse Schneider of Germany to become the 80th grandmaster. He also triumphed in Germany's 24th Nordwest Cup 2023 competition. Before this, in the year 2019, Vignesh's brother Visakh NR was appointed the 59th Grandmaster of India. Two brothers have attained Grandmaster status in India for the first time in the nation's Grandmaster Chess history. Pranesh M. became the 79th Grandmaster of India after taking home the Rilton Cup in Stockholm.

RRR has been selected as the 'Film of the Year' at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival 2023

Mumbai recently hosted the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival 2023. The Kashmir Files, a movie directed by Vivek Agnihotri, won the best film at this awards ceremony. Ranbir Kapoor also received the Best Actor Award for the Brahamastra during the same awards ceremony. Also, at this awards ceremony, the movie RRR was named the "Film of the Year."
