President Droupadi Murmu conferred Suriname’s highest civilian award

The Grand Order of the Chain of the Yellow Star, the highest civilian honour in Surinam, was presented to President Droupadi, who is in the country for a three-day visit. In the meantime, the President said that the Indian government has authorised raising the bar for obtaining an Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI) card from the fourth to the sixth generation.

Dhanush Srikanth wins India's third gold in ISSF Junior World Cup

At the ISSF Junior World Cup in Suhl, Germany, Dhanush Srikanth won the gold medal in the men's 10m air rifle competition, giving India a total of three gold medals thus far in the competition.Dhanush put up a fantastic performance, scoring 249.4 points in the 24-shot final, leaving Swedish silver medalist Pontus Kallin 1.3 points down. Frenchman Romain Aufrere took home the bronze.
