At The Oval in London on Thursday, Travis Head became the first player since Australian great Shane Watson to score 150 runs. Watson had accomplished the feat in 2013, and Head duplicated it against India in the current WTC final. Head smashed 163 runs in 174 balls while batting at no. 5, including 25 fours and a six. Mohammed Siraj eventually got rid of him by nicking the ball to KS Bharat behind the wicket. Along with Steve Smith, Head also stitched a record-breaking partnership for the fourth wicket at The Oval, which they did together. 

 

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) conducted a crucial pre-induction launch of the Agni Prime missile from Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Island off the coast of Odisha one day earlier, according to a statement from the Indian defence ministry on Thursday. The Agni Prime missile can deliver nuclear warheads up to 2,000 km away.
