Current Affairs Today June 27, 2023 Video: CEO and MD of HUL to Hockey Astro Turf Ground Inaugurated in Punjab

On Monday, Union Minister Anurag Thakur inaugurated an avante-garde astroturf for hockey in Jalandhar at the BSF headquarters. The union sports minister highlighted the government’s agenda of promoting sports in the country. He further added that necessary permissions from Hockey India were taken before the inaugural to ensure proper compliance with the International standards of the game of hockey.  

 

After the retirement of Sanjiv Mehta, who led the reigns of Hindustan Unilever for a decade, Rohit Jawa is approved by the company to be appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer and the Managing Director. Presently, Jawa is working as the Chief of Transformation for Unilever, commencing his leadership role for a term of five consecutive years with effect from June 27, 2023, the company said in a statement. Also, he will join the HUL board as a whole-time director from April 1, 2023.
