Deepika Padukone confirmed her role in Prakash Padukone's Biopic

Bollywood Updates: After the release of Gehraiyaan, the actress Deepika has confirmed about her father Prakash Padukone’s biopic. During her recent appearance on Cyrus Broacha’s show, the actress confirmed that she is working on the biopic.

In the interactive session, Deepika revealed how her father would train with scanty resources. The actress also reminded that her father Prakash Padukone and represented India globally even before the victory of 1983 World Cup. “Actually, even before 83 happened, he was one of the first Indian athletes to put India on the global map as far as Indian sport is concerned.” she said. Deepika suggested that if Prakash Padukone had better  facilities available, he would have been much superior in the badminton world. Her father was one of those Indian athletes who represented India globally.

After Shakun Batra’s drama film Gehraiyaan, Deepika will be featured in The Intern alongwith megastar Amitabh Bachchan,  Deepika and Amitabh have worked and Piku as well. Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathan will also feature Deepika. The actress will also start to work with Hrthik Roshan in Siddharth Anand’s directorial Fighter.
