Delhi: Fierce fire broke out in Chandni Chowk Market, chaos all around | Bhagirath Palace Market- Watch Video

The massive fire that broke out on Thursday night in the Electrical and Electronics Market located at Bhagirath Palace in Chandni Chowk in North Delhi continued to rage till Friday morning. 18 fire engines were sent, but after the situation worsened, 22 more were sent. Market sources claimed that over 100 shops were gutted in the fire, while a portion of the Bhagirath Palace building collapsed late in the night.

The fire, which is expected to be under control by morning, has engulfed four buildings. More than 30 shops are being told in one building. Loss of crores is being feared due to the fire. Till late night there was an atmosphere of chaos on the spot. Senior officers of police and fire department were also present on the spot. Late night, Director of Delhi Fire Department Atul Garg has said that the situation is not good right now. The fire would be brought under control only by morning. There is no casualty. A large part of the building has been destroyed.

More than 150 fire brigade personnel were involved in controlling the fire till late night. Police said that whether there was any casualty in the accident or not, it would be known only after the fire is controlled. This is the second major fire in Chandni Chowk this year. Earlier, more than 100 shops in the textile market were damaged.
