Dimple Yadav took the oath of MP and took blessings from Sonia Gandhi, thanked the people of Mainpuri

Samajwadi Party MP Dimple Yadav took oath as a Member of Parliament after winning the Mainpuri Lok Sabha by-election. She reached Parliament House in Delhi with her husband and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav. After taking the oath of the House, Dimple took the blessings of Congress leader Sonia Gandhi by touching her feet. In the Mainpuri bypoll, Dimple defeated BJP's Raghuraj Shakya by a margin of 2,88,461 votes. 

All the political maths of BJP imposed for Mainpuri seat had failed. After his victory, Dimple had said, 'Thank you to the people of Mainpuri and all those people who have supported us. The people of Mainpuri have created history. This victory is the victory of Netaji and this victory of ours is dedicated to Netaji as a tribute to him.

Took blessings from Sonia Gandhi

SP's National President Akhilesh Yadav, Dharmendra Kashyap and Moradabad MP ST Hasan have been present with him. She took photographs at the gate of Parliament. Took blessings by touching the feet of Sonia Gandhi in Parliament House. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla administered the oath to Dimple in the House. SP candidate Dimple Yadav defeated BJP candidate Raghuraj Singh Shakya by a margin of 2.88 lakh votes in the Mainpuri bypoll.

Dimple has become MP for the third time 

Dimple Yadav has become MP for the third time. Dimple Yadav contested for the first time in 2009, but she faced defeat in front of Raj Babbar in this by-election held in Firozabad. After this, in 2012 also contested the by-election from Kannauj and was elected unopposed. Dimple was the first such personality of UP, who became an unopposed MP. After this, in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections also, Dimple Yadav won from Kannauj. Prior to this, she was an MP from the Kannauj Lok Sabha constituency. In the 2019 elections, she contested from Kannauj but lost the election. Due to this, SP and Akhilesh's family got a big shock.
