This information is for you if you use the SBI locker facility. The updated locker agreements must be signed by customers who have lockers at several banks by June 30. All banks have begun renewing locker arrangements with their customers since the RBI released new bank locker regulations.
The central bank instructed banks to update all locker contracts with consumers starting on January 1, 2023 in order to comply with the new regulations. The deadline for banks to complete the renewal process in stages has been extended to December 31, 2023, according to a press statement released on January 23, 2023. According to this, up to 50% of the work must be finished by June 30, 2023, and 75% must be finished by September 30, 2023. As a result, June 30, 2023, is the date of the first installment of the 50% contract renewal.
Updating its customers, the state-owned lender State Bank of India said, “We request our esteemed customers to contact their locker holding branch and execute the revised/supplementary locker agreement as applicable."
