Eid Ul-Fitr 2025: Today, Eid is celebrated all over the country. Meanwhile, the administration has increased security measures in Uttar Pradesh. Meerut Police has issued strict guidelines for offering Namaz in public areas, particularly on the roads. The administration stated that if someone is caught offering Namaz on the road, legal action will be taken against them. In addition, the person’s passport and driver’s license can be cancelled. These directives were issued on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr and before the last Friday prayers of Ramadan on March 28, to ensure that law and order are maintained.

Is There a Holiday on Eid?

As Monday is the last day of the financial year in India, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has urged all agency bank locations that handle government business to remain open on Monday, making things easier for taxpayers. To minimize last-minute complications, taxpayers are asked to execute their tax-related transactions before time. Apart from this, Telangana declares March 31 and April 1 as public holidays for Eid, while Bengaluru just closes on March 31.
