Elon Musk in India: Tesla’s owner Elon Musk planned a two-day visit to India on 21st April, however, according to reports, the ‘X’ owner has postponed his visit due to some “heavy Tesla obligations.” During his visit, he was scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, hoping to install Tesla manufacturing plants in India and announcing Starlink internet service. With the arrival of Tesla in India, many Indian companies are already looking forward to providing support and services to the company.
According to Bloomberg Supply Database, 8 Indian suppliers are currently working with Tesla. It is expected that Tesla will be taking 1-2 billion dollars in auto parts from Indian companies. These companies include auto parts suppliers Samvardhana Madarsan, Superjeet Engineering, Sona BLW, Verac Engineering, and Bosch Group. Metal and mining companies Hindalco, steel companies Good Luck India, and tech hardware company Welling Communications are also taking advantage of the increased demand due to Tesla. Apart from this, Tesla is expected to make investments of upto $300 Cr in India.
