Elvish Yadav Arrest: Popular YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav has been arrested by the Noida police in connection with the illegal snake venom case. After a revised interrogation with the police, Elvish has been sent to 14-day judicial custody for illegally supplying snake venom at rave parties. A forensic investigation revealed that samples seized from the party contained cobra and krait snake venom. It has also been reported that the YouTuber has admitted of illegally possessing snakes and supplying snake venom at rave parties. Before Elvish, many other Indian celebrities were suspected of doing illegal trades and were questioned by the NCB regarding the same. Let’s take a look at some of them.
The recent case of Elvish Yadav has raised doubts about the misleading behaviour of the YouTuber, who was considered as a youth icon after his big win at the Bigg Boss OTT Season 2. Talking about the snake venom case, six people, including YouTuber Elvish Yadav, were charged under the Wildlife (Protection) Act and Section 120A (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code for allegedly supplying snake venom to a party in Noida’s Sector 51 as part of Maneka Gandhi’s People for Animals sting operation.
Nine snakes were discovered at the party during a People For Animals sting operation, and all of them had their venom glands removed. Eight of the nine snakes had missing teeth. The rave party case made headlines on November 3 of last year; the event took place in Noida Sector 51. Apart from this, Elvish has been charged with causing violence against several people, with several videos circulating on the internet. A video of Elvish beating up YouTuber Maxtern, also known as Sagar Thakur, has recently gone viral, pointing another finger at the Bigg Boss winner.
The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in Mumbai has charged famous Indian comedian Bharti Singh and her husband Haarsh Limbachiyya with illegal possession of marijuana. The NCB filed a 200-page chargesheet in court against comedian Bharti Singh and her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa, who were arrested in November 2020. In 2020, the NCB raided Bharti Singh's production office and house, seizing 86.5 grams of cannabis.
According to reports, Haarsh told the NCB that he used to buy drugs for himself. After two days, a magistrate court granted Bharti and Haarsh bail with a Rs 15,000 bond each. The couple was charged with violating NDPS Act sections 8(c), which deals with drug possession; 20(b)(ii)(A), which deals with the presence of a small amount of drugs; and 27, which deals with drug consumption.
Rhea has been on the public radar since actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide case stirred up the entire nation. As the ‘Jalebi’ actress was already facing several allegations and was also suspected of being involved in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, she was also accused of supplying drugs to Sushant Singh along with her brother Showik. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) charged Rhea with receiving multiple deliveries of ganja (marijuana) from the co-accused in the drug case that resulted in the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The NCB also stated that Chakraborty’s brother, Showik, was in contact with peddlers and obtained packets, which were then handed over to the late actor.
The case of Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan taking drugs came as a big shock not only to the Bollywood industry but also shook SRK’s fans. Aryan was arrested in connection with the Mumbai cruise drug case in early October 2021. After several court hearings, numerous accusations, chaos, and 26 days in custody, the Bombay High Court granted him bail on October 28. Aryan Khan was arrested in connection with a drug raid carried out by the Narcotics Control Bureau, which was led by zonal director Sameer Wankhede. After receiving a tip, a team from the Narcotics Control Bureau's Mumbai unit boarded the ship disguised as passengers. On board, NCB officials began a search, and the same night it was reported that the NCB had seized various illegal drugs from the ship, including cocaine, charas, and MDMA, as well as detained 7-8 people, including the son of a Bollywood star.
