Exclusive Interview with Randeep Hooda on directing ‘Swatantra Veer Savarkar’

Swatantra Veer Savarkar:  In an exclusive interview, Randeep Hooda shared the reason for directing and telling the story of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. This movie is a biopic of India’s freedom fighter, Savarkar. 

“Savarkar’s image is maligned in politics” 

Talking about the motivation behind picking up Savarkar’s story, Hooda said that the history books tell far less about the freedom fighter than he deserves. He also talked about the resistance that the movie trailer has received. He believes Savarkar’s image is maligned in politics and people do not want his real story to come out.
