EXCLUSIVE: Paresh Rawal is an exceptional actor and film producer as well. He predominantly works in Hindi and Gujarati films and theater, and is known for his dynamic roles and craft. In an exclusive interview with Jagran New Media, he discussed his upcoming Gujarati film Dear Father. He also shared his experience in Bollywood, his personal life and much more. Paresh Rawal in Dear Father

Paresh Rawal will soon be seen in the Gujarati film Dear Father. He will share the screen with , who will be seen as her daughter-in-law. Paresh will be seen in the role of an old diabatic man who has become irritable. He is anxious and worried about his family and himself. However, Paresh Rawal plays the double role in the film, the other character is of a cop. Here is the trailer of the film Dear Father:



Paresh Rawal in Real Life

On being asked about how Paresh Rawal is as a father in real life, he said that he is not a strict dad like a typical father figure. According to him, he is a friendly and easy going father. He also claims himself to be the Best father one could get.


Paresh Rawal in Gujarati Film

The actor has been thoroughly connected to Hindi as well as Gujrati theater. He has been working on the stage as a professional actor since the 70s. Paresh Rawal, who has done nearly 430 shows in theater told us that he would love to do more in the Gujarati Films as well. After all its is mother tongue, and he wishes to pay back.



Paresh Rawal on Star Tantrums

On being asked about the celebrity tantrums, Paresh Rawal gave the hint of humility as he said there is no point in throwing starly tantrums. He simply suggests to be real, and be who you are. He also added, “If you have to maintain, you are trying to be someone who you are not.” According to him, the energy and craft of an actor should reflect when the camera is rolling. Thus, there is no meaning of tantrums.

The actors gives more importance to the script that the fee offered, however he does not shy away from aggring to the fact that money also matters and some films can be done if the fee offered is great.


Paresh Rawal on OTT Shows

Paresh Rawal, who has not made his digital debut yet, said that he is not avoiding the digital screen space, but he has not got the right  script yet. He would definitely work in a digital long format that has the potential to create something which is not possible on film and stage.


Paresh Rawal on the Choice of Roles

Paresh Rawal told us that he likes to take up the roles that bring a challenge to him. The scared feel if he will be able to deliver in right, that fear motivates him to do better.



Paresh Rawal on having Best Friends

Paresh Rawal suggested that he has many friends in the cinema industry. He shares great chemistry with all of his coworkers. He named Sunil Shetty, Salim Khan and Mahesh Bhatt to be in his good and bad times. However, he refused to have any “best friends” in the industry.



Paresh Rawal told us that he would like a sequel of Raj Kumar Santoshi’s film Andaz Apna Apna to be made. He admired the right elements of innocence in the films. On being asked about his choice of songs, he likes “Subah Kabhi To Aayegi” and all Lata Mangeshkar’s songs.
