Big Billion Days Sale: Walmart-owned e-commerce firm Flipkart recorded around 1.4 million customers in its biggest sale of the year The Big Billion Days. The estimate includes the early access customers and the seven-day festive sale record. The annual Big Billion Day sale recorded growth in various categories including electronics, home decor, and appliances. The top selling categories among the customers included televisions, audio equipment, cellphones, and grooming goods, all of which came with a variety of discounts and card offers through joint partnerships with banks and other third parties.
Not only did customers benefit from the Big Billion Day Sale, the Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card saw an 8 times increase in overall expenditure, a 4 times increase in orders placed, and a 4 times rise in Flipkart Pay Later. EMI expenditures surged seven times over the pre-festive period. Remote locations including Andaman, Heuliang (Arunachal Pradesh), Choglamsar (Ladakh), Kutch (Gujarat), and Longewala (Rajasthan) have received the deliveries of products. Comparing this year to last years’ TBBD, there was a massive surge in female Wishmasters. Additionally, in the first four days of TBBD’23, consumers received more than 40 lakh packages from Flipkart’s grocery services.
