Paytm launches ‘Paytm Card Sound Box’ for Card Payments

To accept payments made using cards, the fintech company Paytm has introduced a new device ‘Paytm Card Sound Box’. This allows shopkeepers to see all the data about card payments and funds deposited into accounts from the same device. According to the firm, Paytm will enable retailers to take both mobile and card payments across all Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and RuPay networks, enabling merchants to expand their businesses through ‘Tap & Pay’.
How Does Paytm Sound Box Work?
With lightning-fast 4G connectivity, the company has included a 4-watt speaker in this soundbox that effectively communicates payment information. A single charge will power this box for five days. Shopkeepers can only take payments up to Rs 5000 using ‘Tap and Pay’. The gadget also offers alerts in 11 different languages, which can be customised using the ‘Paytm for Business’ App. Additionally, Paytm Card Soundbox allows users of smartphones with NFC capabilities to use the tap feature to make payments using their phones.
