Flight Ticket Prices: Following a drop in international oil prices, the price of Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) was reduced by 2.3 percent. The price of ATF in the national capital has been reduced by Rs 2,775 per kiloliter, or 2.3 percent, to Rs 1,17,587.64 per kiloliter, according to a price notification issued by public sector oil marketing companies.
As fuel accounts for nearly 40% of operating expenses for aviation companies, the price reduction of ATF will be of great relief. The aviation turbine fuel allows an aircraft to fly. It is a unique kind of fuel derived from petroleum and is required for aircraft operation. It is used to power jet and turboprop aircraft engines. The fuel used in aviation turbines is colorless and has a straw-like appearance. In terms of petrol-diesel prices, there has been no change for the eighth consecutive month. Petrol costs Rs 96.72 per liter in Delhi, while diesel costs Rs 89.62 per liter.
